Hi Carol & Jim,
Please take this email as a personal thank you for an excellent boat licensing course held today, 20 July 2007. It is obviously a joint effort by you both which was handled with professionalism, enthusiasm, expertise and dedication. It is a difficult task to address a group of people which come from varying backgrounds, skills and experience yet, from my observations, this was successfully done by putting all participants at ease and making the course enjoyable as well as highly informative.
It is always assumed that the lecturer or instructor judges the participants but it is rarely recognised that the participants also judge the instructor. From today's course I would venture to say that a two way partnership was formed and the credibility of the Australian Boating College was enhanced. I am sure that I am echoing the sentiments of all today's participants.
As a retired auditor (fraud and compliance), lecturer and qualified manager I feel qualified in sending this email. Well done, boating will be a better sport and recreational hobby for your joint efforts.

Thank you so much for taking Harry and myself through the Boat Licence Course yesterday. We really enjoyed ourselves, and your informal but thorough teaching technique and style made for relaxed easy learning. The sharing of your personal knowledge, experiences, stories and love of boating really made the day fun and so worthwhile.
We both felt that doing the course prior to purchasing our boat has been invaluable, because the additional information you shared has opened our eyes to many important issues we need to consider to make the best choice possible for our needs.

Firstly, thank you both for the boating licence course completed with you yesterday. It was a pleasure, right down to the cakes, coffee & jam.
As someone who has previously undergone First Aid & Cert IV training, I congratulate you on a balanced & effective course.
In terms of feedback about the course, Kathy & I both agreed that the professionalism & focus shown by Jim, in keeping people on track & focusing on the all important safety aspects, provided us with the confidence to tackle boating and the interest to pay attention when a person can sometimes let the mind wander.
